Anita Kaye Webb is a dedicated Christian, business owner, and active community volunteer with a heart for service. Born and raised in the hills of eastern Kentucky, Anita grew up in the Southern Baptist Church in Pilgrim, Kentucky. Her family roots trace back to Pike and Martin counties, where she was raised by a Godly mother, who instilled in her a deep faith in Christ. Anita became a Christian at the age of eight, and her spiritual journey has been a constant source of strength throughout her life. In 1976, during her senior year at Morehead State University, Anita faced the profound loss of her mother, who passed away after a four-year battle with cancer at the age of 39. Despite this hardship, Anita found solace in her faith, which sustained her through those challenging years as she transitioned into adulthood. Anita has never married but has always dreamed of having a family. Raised in a divorced family, she cherished the close-knit relationships with her extended family, her grandparents, uncles, aunts, and cousins, who provided her with love and support. She has fond memories of her relationship with her father, whom she adored, despite the distance between them. In 1988, Anita moved to Louisville, Kentucky, where she has since built a successful career as a business owner, managing two thriving businesses. She is actively involved in her church community at Southeast Christian Church, where she attends weekly services and participates in women's Bible studies. Anita is also dedicated to giving back to her community, volunteering weekly with the refugee community and participating in prison ministry through monthly lunches. As she approaches her 70th birthday in June 2025, Anita reflects with gratitude on a life filled with blessings. She continues to praise Jesus for the strength, resilience, and joy that have marked her journey, and remains committed to living a life of faith, service, and love.
